TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Last updated: 5 September 2026
1. ABOUT US
These Terms and Conditions apply to purchases made through our website.
The website and products are operated and supplied by:
GETDAWAH LTD
Trading as: Getdawah
Company number: 11622570
Registered office: 100 Palmerston Road, London, England, E17 6PZ
Email: support@getdawah.com
In these Terms and Conditions, “we”, “us” and “our” mean [FULL LEGAL COMPANY NAME] LTD, and “you” and “your” mean the customer purchasing from us.
We sell personalised name jewellery and related personalised products through our website.
By placing an order with us, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. These Terms do not affect any statutory rights you have under applicable consumer law.
---
2. OUR PRODUCTS
We specialise in personalised name jewellery.
Because our products are individually made according to the personalisation submitted by each customer, the finished product may differ slightly from product photographs or computer-screen images.
Colours, finishes, dimensions, positioning and other visual details may vary slightly due to manufacturing processes, lighting, photography and differences between screens and devices.
Where a product description specifies a particular material, size, finish or feature, we will make the product in accordance with that description.
Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights where a product is faulty, not as described or otherwise does not conform to the contract.
---
3. PERSONALISATION
3.1 Customer responsibility
You are responsible for checking all personalisation information before placing your order.
This includes, where applicable:
* spelling;
* names;
* words;
* Arabic or other scripts;
* numbers;
* dates;
* symbols;
* punctuation;
* size selections; and
* other information entered when placing the order.
We will generally produce your jewellery using the information submitted with your order.
If you submit incorrect spelling or other incorrect personalisation and the product is manufactured in accordance with the information you provided, this will not normally be considered a manufacturing error.
3.2 Changes after ordering
Please contact us as soon as possible if you notice an error in your personalisation.
We cannot guarantee that changes or cancellations will be possible once production has started.
If we are able to make a change before production begins, we will try to accommodate your request where reasonably possible.
3.3 Arabic names and transliteration
If you are ordering an Arabic personalised item, we recommend providing the name or wording in Arabic script if you know the correct spelling.
If you provide English text and ask us, or allow us, to transliterate it into Arabic, we will make a reasonable effort to produce an appropriate transliteration based on the information supplied.
Transliteration is not the same as translation.
Unless you specifically request a translation, we will generally transliterate the name or wording rather than translate its meaning.
Arabic names and words can have different spellings, forms and interpretations. We therefore recommend that you check the Arabic spelling carefully before submitting your order.
If you provide an incorrect Arabic spelling, or if you approve a particular spelling, we are not responsible for the resulting spelling unless the final product differs from the personalisation you submitted or approved.
If you are unsure about the spelling or meaning of an Arabic name or word, we recommend obtaining independent confirmation before placing your order.
---
4. PLACING AN ORDER
When you place an order through our website, you are making an offer to purchase the product(s) selected by you.
After you place your order, we will normally send an order acknowledgement to the email address you provided.
An order acknowledgement confirms that we have received your order. It does not necessarily mean that your order has been accepted.
A contract between you and us will be formed when we accept your order, normally when we confirm that your order has entered processing or production.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order where there is a genuine reason to do so, including where:
* a product is unavailable;
* there is an obvious pricing or product-description error;
* we reasonably suspect fraudulent or abusive activity;
* the personalisation contains unlawful or inappropriate content;
* we are unable to fulfil the order; or
* there is another legitimate reason preventing us from fulfilling the order.
If we cancel an order after payment has been taken, we will refund the amount paid for the cancelled order.
---
5. PRICES AND PAYMENT
All prices displayed on our website are the prices applicable at the time of purchase, subject to obvious errors.
Where applicable, prices will include VAT and other taxes required to be included in the advertised price.
Delivery charges, where applicable, will be displayed during the ordering process before you complete your purchase.
Payment must be made using one of the payment methods offered through our website.
We do not normally accept changes to the agreed purchase price after an order has been accepted, except where required by law or where you have expressly agreed to the change.
---
6. PRODUCTION TIMES
Personalised jewellery is made to order.
Our estimated production time for name jewellery is generally: 15–25 working days
This is an estimate rather than a guarantee unless we have expressly agreed a specific delivery deadline with you.
Production may occasionally take longer because of manufacturing, quality-control, supply-chain or other unforeseen circumstances.
Where there is a significant or unreasonable delay, please contact us so that we can investigate the status of your order.
Production time is separate from shipping/transit time.
The estimated delivery timeframe displayed on our website should therefore be considered together with the stated production time.
---
7. DELIVERY
We will send your order to the delivery address provided when you place your order.
You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address, including where applicable:
* full name;
* house or building number;
* street;
* flat or apartment number;
* town/city;
* postcode;
* country; and
* any other information reasonably required for delivery.
If you provide an incorrect or incomplete address, this may result in delays, additional delivery costs or the parcel being returned to the sender.
If an order is returned to us because an incorrect or incomplete address was provided, we will contact you where reasonably possible to arrange the next step.
We cannot guarantee that every delivery will arrive within the estimated timeframe because delivery is also affected by postal and courier networks and circumstances outside our reasonable control.
However, nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights concerning delivery.
---
8. INTERNATIONAL ORDERS
We accept orders from customers outside the United Kingdom.
Where we offer delivery to an international destination, we will generally arrange and pay the applicable import duties, customs charges and other import-related fees required for delivery of your order to you, unless we expressly state otherwise before you place your order.
You should not normally be required to pay additional import duties or customs charges to receive an order where we have confirmed that these costs are included in our delivery arrangements.
International delivery times are estimates only and may be affected by customs processing, postal or courier delays, weather, transport disruption or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.
If customs authorities or a delivery provider require additional information from you in order to complete delivery, you agree to provide the information reasonably required to assist with the delivery of your order.
If you are unexpectedly asked to pay an import or customs charge that should have been covered by us, please contact us before paying the charge where reasonably possible so that we can investigate and assist.
Nothing in this section affects your statutory consumer rights.
---
9. CANCELLATION OF PERSONALISED ORDERS
9.1 Personalised products
Many of our products are made specifically according to the personalisation submitted by you.
Where applicable under UK consumer law, the statutory 14-day cancellation right for distance purchases does not apply to goods that are made to the consumer's specifications or are clearly personalised.
Accordingly, you may not normally cancel a personalised jewellery order simply because you have changed your mind once production has begun.
This does **not** affect your statutory rights where the product is faulty, damaged, not as described or otherwise does not conform to the contract.
9.2 Before production begins
If you wish to cancel a personalised order before production has begun, contact us as soon as possible.
We will consider the request and, where reasonably possible, cancel the order before production begins.
Once production has started, cancellation may no longer be possible because the item has been specifically manufactured for you.
---
10. FAULTY, DAMAGED OR INCORRECT PRODUCTS
We want every customer to receive a product that is made to the required standard.
If your item:
* arrives damaged;
* is defective;
* is materially different from the product description;
* contains a manufacturing error;
* contains personalisation different from what you submitted; or
* otherwise does not conform to the contract,
please contact us as soon as reasonably possible after receiving the item.
Please provide:
* your order number;
* a description of the issue; and
* clear photographs where appropriate.
We may ask you to return the item so that we can inspect it.
Where you have a legal right to a repair, replacement, price reduction or refund, we will provide the appropriate remedy in accordance with applicable consumer law.
We will not ask you to waive your statutory rights as a condition of receiving a remedy.
---
11. DAMAGE CAUSED AFTER DELIVERY
We are not responsible for damage caused by misuse, accidental damage, inappropriate storage, modification, alteration or failure to follow reasonable care instructions, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
Examples may include:
* deliberately bending or reshaping the jewellery;
* pulling or stretching chains excessively;
* using harsh chemicals;
* damaging the item through improper cleaning;
* attempting to repair or modify the item yourself; or
* normal deterioration caused by use.
This does not affect your statutory rights where a defect was present when the product was supplied or where applicable law provides otherwise.
---
12. JEWELLERY CARE
Personalised jewellery should be handled with reasonable care.
To help maintain the appearance of your jewellery, we recommend avoiding unnecessary exposure to:
* perfumes;
* lotions and creams;
* cleaning chemicals;
* chlorine;
* salt water;
* excessive moisture; and
* other substances that may affect the finish of jewellery.
Where specific care instructions are provided with a product, you should follow them.
Normal wear, scratches and changes in appearance over time may occur depending on the material, finish and frequency of use.
---
13. RETURNS AND REFUNDS
Personalised products:
Because personalised jewellery is made specifically for you, personalised items will generally not be eligible for return simply because you have changed your mind, where the applicable legal exception for personalised goods applies.
However, this does not affect your statutory rights concerning faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or misdescribed goods.
Non-personalised products:
If we sell any non-personalised products to which the statutory cancellation right applies, eligible customers may have the right to cancel within the applicable cancellation period.
Where a statutory cancellation right applies, we will provide the refund in accordance with applicable law.
Where you have a statutory right to cancel, the statutory rules regarding refunds, return of goods and delivery charges will apply.
---
14. REFUNDS
Where a refund is due, we will normally issue it using the original payment method unless otherwise agreed or permitted by law.
Bank, card or payment-provider processing times may mean that it takes additional time for a refund to appear in your account.
If you believe a refund has been issued but has not appeared in your account, please contact us first so that we can investigate.
---
15. REPLACEMENTS
Where an item is confirmed to be faulty, damaged in transit or incorrectly personalised due to an error on our part, we may offer a replacement where appropriate.
Where a replacement is not appropriate or is unavailable, we will provide another remedy required by applicable law.
Nothing in this section limits any statutory rights you may have.
---
16. CUSTOMER INFORMATION
You agree to provide accurate and complete information when placing an order.
This includes your:
* name;
* email address;
* billing information;
* delivery address;
* telephone number where requested; and
* personalisation information.
We are not responsible for problems caused directly by inaccurate information supplied by you, subject always to your statutory rights.
---
17. WEBSITE CONTENT
We make reasonable efforts to ensure that information on our website is accurate and up to date.
However, occasional typographical errors, technical errors, pricing errors or other inaccuracies may occur.
Where we identify an obvious error before an order is accepted, we may correct the error and, where appropriate, contact you.
Nothing in this section permits us to change the agreed terms of a contract unfairly or in a way prohibited by applicable law.
---
18. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
Unless otherwise stated, the content of our website, including text, photographs, graphics, logos, product images, designs and other materials, belongs to us or our licensors.
You may use the website for your personal and non-commercial use.
You must not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, sell or commercially exploit our website content or designs without our prior written permission, except where permitted by law.
---
19. CUSTOMER-SUBMITTED CONTENT
If you voluntarily provide photographs, reviews, comments or other content to us, you confirm that you have the necessary rights to provide that content.
You must not submit content that:
* infringes another person's intellectual property rights;
* contains unlawful material;
* contains malicious software;
* is defamatory or abusive; or
* breaches another person's privacy.
If you provide a product review or other customer content, you should ensure that it is genuine and reflects your actual experience.
We may remove content where we reasonably believe it violates these Terms or applicable law.
---
20. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
Our website may use third-party providers to process payments, operate the website, provide analytics, facilitate delivery or provide other services.
Third-party services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies.
Nothing in these Terms removes or limits our responsibilities to you under your contract with us.
---
21. PRIVACY
We process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Our Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it and the rights you may have in relation to your personal information.
You should read our Privacy Policy before placing an order.
---
22. OUR LIABILITY
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.
In particular, nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for:
* death or personal injury caused by our negligence;
* fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
* your statutory consumer rights;
* faulty goods where liability cannot lawfully be excluded;
* goods that are not as described; or
* any other liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
Subject to the above, we will not be responsible for losses that are not reasonably foreseeable or that are outside the scope of the contract, to the extent permitted by law.
If you are a consumer, nothing in these Terms affects rights that you have under applicable consumer protection legislation.
---
23. EVENTS OUTSIDE OUR REASONABLE CONTROL
We will not be responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control where such events could not reasonably have been prevented or avoided.
Examples may include:
* natural disasters;
* severe weather;
* war or civil unrest;
* strikes or industrial disputes;
* government restrictions;
* major transport disruption;
* postal or courier network disruption;
* serious technical failures; or
* other circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Where such an event affects your order, we will take reasonable steps to keep you informed.
This section does not remove any rights you may have where applicable law gives you a remedy because of a delay or failure to deliver.
---
24. COMPLAINTS
If you have a complaint about an order or our service, please contact:
Email: support@getdawah.com
Please include your order number and a clear description of the issue.
We aim to respond to customer emails within *48 working hours*, although response times may occasionally be longer during busy periods, weekends, public holidays or periods of unusually high demand.
We will try to resolve complaints fairly and reasonably.
---
25. GOVERNING LAW
If you are a consumer, these Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the United Kingdom, subject to any mandatory consumer protection rights that apply in the country where you live.
Nothing in these Terms prevents you from relying on mandatory consumer protections or bringing proceedings in a court where you are legally entitled to do so.
For customers located in England and Wales, the courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction where permitted by law.
For customers located in Scotland or Northern Ireland, the relevant courts will have jurisdiction where permitted by applicable law.
---
26. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
We may update these Terms from time to time.
The version of the Terms that applies to your order will generally be the version in force when you place your order, unless a change is required by law or otherwise agreed with you.
We will publish updated Terms on our website and will include the date on which they were last updated.
---
27. SEVERABILITY
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be interpreted or modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it lawful and enforceable where possible.
If this is not possible, the relevant provision will be treated as removed.
The remaining provisions will continue to apply.
---
28. ENTIRE AGREEMENT
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, applicable product information and any other policies expressly incorporated into your order, form the agreement between you and us concerning your purchase.
Nothing in these Terms limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.
---
